Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 30 Is Out Today — The Final Chapter of an Era

Published May 12, 2026 · Anime Recommendations

The final volume of Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen is available in English from today. After two years of waiting for the official translation, the story of Yuji Itadori, Satoru Gojo, and the war against Sukuna reaches its definitive conclusion.

It’s here. May 12, 2026. The day every Jujutsu Kaisen fan has been circling on their calendar. Viz Media has officially released Volume 30 — the final volume of one of the biggest manga series of the decade. If you’re new around here, welcome to the Anime Roulette blog — and yes, today is a genuinely big day for anime.

What’s Inside the Final Volume

Volume 30 collects Chapters 264 through 271 — the final stretch of the battle against Sukuna, the aftermath of that fight, and the resolution of every remaining plot thread Akutami left dangling. If you’ve been holding off on spoilers, this is your chance to experience the ending properly.

But the real reason fans are rushing to buy this volume isn’t just the final battle — it’s the 16-page epilogue. Split across four mini-chapters, the epilogue gives us a window into what happens after the dust settles:

  • Panda’s Epilogue — Arguably the most significant, introducing Yuta Okkotsu’s grandchildren as children, directly setting up the stage for the sequel manga.
  • Uraume’s Epilogue — A brief but chilling flashback to the Heian Era, shedding light on one of the series’ most enigmatic characters.
  • Nobara’s Epilogue — Following her life after the Shibuya Incident and the final battle.
  • Yuko Ozawa’s Epilogue — A quieter, character-focused wrap-up for a fan-favourite side character.

As with every volume, there are also extra illustrations and bonus content sprinkled throughout. But let’s be honest — you’re buying this for closure.

A Sequel Is Coming

“Panda’s epilogue is especially crucial to the story as it sets up the stage for the sequel manga by introducing Yuta’s grandchildren when they were kids.” — ComicBook.com

Yes, you read that right. A Jujutsu Kaisen sequel manga is in the works. The epilogue in Volume 30 isn’t just a goodbye — it’s a teaser. By showing Yuta’s grandchildren as children, Akutami is laying the groundwork for a new generation of jujutsu sorcerers. The cursed energy of the JJK universe isn’t going anywhere.

Details are thin right now. No title, no release window, no confirmation of whether Akutami is drawing it or supervising. But the intent is clear: the world of curses and sorcerers will continue, just with a new cast carrying the torch.

The Anime Still Has Years to Go

Here’s the thing manga readers always forget: the Jujutsu Kaisen anime is still miles behind. Season 3 wrapped up the first half of the Culling Game arc, ending on a cliffhanger after Yuta’s battle in the Sendai Colony. Season 4 has been announced but has no release date yet — and that season only covers the rest of the Culling Game.

After that, MAPPA still needs to adapt the entire final arc of the manga — the battle against Sukuna, Gojo’s fate, and everything that led to today’s volume. Realistically, we’re looking at at least two more seasons after Season 4. The anime won’t catch up to this ending until 2028 at the earliest.

So if you’re an anime-only fan and you’re reading this thinking you’ve been spoiled — relax. You’ve got years of weekly episodes ahead of you before you reach this point. And if you need something to fill the gap between seasons, check out our Spring 2026 first impressions — we’ve got five shows that are already dominating the conversation.

How to Pick Up Volume 30

The volume is available right now from Viz Media in both physical and digital formats. Most major book retailers — Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books Kinokuniya — have it in stock. Digital copies are live on the Viz Media app and ComiXology.

If you’ve been collecting the English volumes, this is the one that completes your shelf. If you’ve only been reading digitally, maybe today’s the day to grab a physical copy for the artwork alone.
